Musician Senyaka Kekana has passed away aged 58.
The controversial singer had been in a comma for the past week before he died at Kopano Hospital in Vereeniging on Wednesday morning.
Kekana – who was known for his hits such as ‘Chisa Mpama’, ‘Fong Kong’ and Romeo Wa Nkolota – was a lively musician who enjoyed an illustrious career in the 1980s to the late nineties.
Minister of Sport and Recreation, Fikile Mbalula confirmed Kekana’s death on his Twitter account today. He said: “Just got the news from @djmahoota that the legendary Senyaka moruti wa tsotsi is no more what a loss, great entertainer.”
The artist cause of death is unknown.
