The X-Faxtor SA: Oskido’s Four Scoops R750 000 Top Prize

Cape Town boy band Four, mentored by DJ Oskido, have secured The X Factor R750 000 top prize, after winning the singing competition on Saturday evening – beating runner-up Eliezer and Iziqhaza, who had to settle for a third place finish.

The band, consisting of three members – Jethro Tait, Steven Lee Lewis and David Januari – also won Sony Music recording and management contract, R300 000 in cash, their own sound studio, an album launch in partnership with Vodacom, R50 000 worth of wardrobe and styling, a tablet, a smartphone and data.

Speaking after their victory, the group said: “It means the world to us. We have been working very hard towards this moment… We are excited for the future and this is only the beginning.”

The show has brought in big ratings for SABC 1. Raking in 2,716,000 million viewers an episode.
