From October 3 to 6, Rocking the Daisies is teaming up with Galxboy, the South African streetwear brand, to release an exclusive limited-edition collection. This collaboration celebrates the festival’s vibrant energy and the bold street culture that Galxboy represents.
Festivalgoers will have the chance to get their hands on these exclusive Galxboy pieces—perfect for rocking the style that defines South African youth. The collection fuses music and artistry, showcasing a look that captures the spirit of Rocking the Daisies while supporting local talent.
Galxboy and Rocking the Daisies Talent Search
In addition to the merchandise collaboration, Galxboy and Rocking the Daisies have teamed up for the 2024 Festival Talent Search competition. This competition spotlights young designers from across South Africa to give them a chance to showcase their creativity. Budding designers were asked to submit five original looks, which were then judged by a panel of industry experts.
Now, the competition is down to the Top 5 designers. These finalists will showcase their collections at the Rocking the Daisies Fashion Showcase during the festival. Each collection aligns with the festival’s 2024 theme: “Into the Stars.” The winner will be announced after the showcase and will receive an exciting prize package.
A Life-Changing Opportunity for Young Designers
The winning designer will receive a cash prize of R20,000 and the chance to collaborate on the 2025 Rocking the Daisies capsule collection. Moreover, the winner will enjoy a one-week internship with Thatiso Dube, the Founder and Creative Director of Galxboy, giving them valuable insight into the business of fashion.
