Confirmed: Kevin Hart Will Be Trevor Noah’s First Guest on ‘The Daily Show’

Trevor Noah’s debut as the new host of The Daily Show is just five days away and Jon Stewart’s successor has finally announced the guests that will join him in his first week.

Comedian Kevin Hart will help Noah kick things off as the very first guest next Monday, and he expressed his excitement Wednesday morning on Twitter.

Hart wrote, “I couldn’t be more excited 2 sit down with Trevor Noah on Daily Show on Monday the 28th. Looking forward to a fun conversation man #Congrats.”

Tinder co-founder and Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe will join Noah on Tuesday, Sept. 29 and Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie is set for Wednesday, Sept. 30.

To top it all off, The Daily Show will welcome Taylor Swift’s newest favorite person, Ryan Adams, who will perform a song from his new 1989 cover album on October 1.

Noah will use his first week of episodes as a “reintroduction” of the show and hopes this will allow new viewers to tune in, and to explain what’s going to be different to old fans of Stewart.

“The first episode will be a reintroduction of the show — but you can’t just go off one episode like, ‘Oh I know what this is about, I know what this is,'” the host explained to reporters at the Summer TCA Press Tour. “So what we’re doing is dividing the first week into a four-part mini-series that will set the tone for what we hope the show will be.”

ET also caught up with Comedy Central’s newest host this past weekend at the Emmys red carpet, and we were happy to hear that Stewart has been Noah’s biggest champion.

“The most important thing he [told me] was, ‘Trust your instincts, trust your doubts and discomfort,” Noah shared with ET’s Kevin Frazier. “So, if you feel like you shouldn’t be going in that direction, that’s the direction you shouldn’t be going in.'”

The Daily Show With Trevor Noah premieres Monday, Sept. 28 on Comedy Central.
