It’s been two months since Generations went off air after its creator Mfundi Vundla fired 16 actors.
After weeks of waiting for the revamped Generations – The Legacy – it was set to grab the attention of SA soapie watchers – and judging by the tweets it certainly did. The revamp SABC popular drama only took a few minutes before it started trending this evening.
With old faces such as Connie Ferguson playing Karabo Moroka and Rapulana Seiphemo playing Tau Mogale, new unfamiliar characters and unexpected twists, the first episode created mixed reactions on social networking sites – but most viewers were not impressed.
Here are some of the tweets:

I hear #GenerationsLegacy was a disappointment. But then again, what did people expect? Mfundi has been disrespecting people for decades.
I am taking a posture of allowing Mfundi Vundla to unfold the new plot. Judging #GenerationsLegacy before understanding the plot is uncool.
