Cassper Nyovest blames fame after thugs rob his family at gunpoint

Multi-award winning rapper Cassper Nyovest reckons his money and fame is the reason his family was held up at gunpoint on Thursday evening.

Although full details of what happened are still unknown, the concerned rapper, 24, whose real name is Refiloe Maele Phoolo, revealed the disturbing news to his 311K Twitter followers on Friday morning.

“This fame shit is something else. Last night my family was held at gunpoint. I can’t imagine what my mom and lil sister went through. Thank God they are safe.

“These are the things that make me think of quitting. I’ve exposed the ones I love to some bullshit. The money and fame shit is something else,”  he tweeted.

Nyovest, who recently donated R100 000 to Zimbabwean victims of xenophobia, asked for his fans to pray for him and his family.
