Christmas celebration has come early for The Soil group – made up of Buhlebendalo Mda aka Buhle, Luphindo “Master P” Ngxanga and Ntsika Fana Ngxanga aka Da FanArtistc – as the trio’s second album, Nostalgic Moment, reaches another milestone worth celebration.
The album, released in September, two months before it qualified for a gold status (20 000 copies sold), has climbed the music sales’ chart to hit the platinum spot (40 000 copies sold).
Knowing how difficult it is to sell more than 40 000 copies in South Africa, the multi award-winning band members could not hide their excitement when they broke the news to their 73.3K Twitter followers on Thursday afternoon.
The delighted group tweeted: “Breaking news…….,,Yes yes yes yes yes Platinum status baby#NostalgicMoments GOD IS GOOD ALL DAY EVERY DAY. Thank u very much family, thanks for the love and support.its Native Baby.”
The band celebrated its platinum achievement with Robert Marawa on his Thursday night SuperSport TV programme.
