Kwaito artist L’vovo Derrango, one of the 14th Metro FM Awards nominees, is convinced that this year’s Best Kwaito Album award belongs to him.

This comes after the Durban-born star, whose real name is Thokozani Ndlovu, made it to the nomination list for the past six years in the same category, but failed to win a single award.

This year, the confident L’vovo is adamant that his latest album The Boss – which has been nominated alongside the iconic Trompies (Delicious) and Thebe (The Legend) – will be honoured with the award.

“With all due respect to other artists that I’m nominated in the same category with, this award is surely mine.

“I have dished out all the needed ingredients of pure kwaito music. I also have the home ground advantage as the event will be in my home town, Durban,” Lvovo told Daily Sun.

The annual event is set to take place on 28 February at Inkosi Albert International Centre in Durban, KZN.
